Chef Chris Mathias

Our restaurant is managed by Chris Mathias who was born in the United Kingdom and grew up in Essex before moving to Toronto at the age of 14. He has over 30 years of international restaurant and cooking experience, 13 of them spent living in France. He has also lived and worked in Ireland, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, England and Canada ! From dishwasher busboy at the age of 16, he worked his way up the kitchen and restaurant world to eventually own two successful restaurants, in Toronto and Paris.  His is passionate about France, the beauty of the Aveyron and its cuisine, seasonal fresh produce and makes his own charcuterie! We are open from Easter until the end of October each year. Our opening hours differ between Spring, Summer and Autumn and reservations are recommended! Our passion is to please our clients by serving a variety of delightful and delicious dishes to our regional and international visitors from the rich selection of local Aveyron and Tarn produce. Our brasserie and bar are typically open from Monday to Friday over lunch and dinner whilst our restaurant serves semi-gastronomic dishes on Saturday evenings and on Sundays for lunch. All meals are served on our charming outdoor terraces, brasserie or beautiful medieval dining rooms.
